Prize Draw Terms & Conditions

 

Who can enter?

Entry is only open to participants in the above research project.  Participants must be aged 15 or over and be resident in the United Kingdom.  Participants age on the date the recruitment questionnaire was completed will be used to determine automatic entry for the prize draw.  Consent of the parent or guardians of anyone under the age of 16 will be obtained before the person under 16 is approached for the survey.

The prize draw is not open to employees of Ipsos, its subsidiaries and affiliates and suppliers or their immediate family.

How do I enter?

Every eligible participant in the above research project who:

  • are a panel member of the RAJAR Radio Diary Panel
  • have been invited by email or post to complete a diary in the month
  • where requested at the start of the study, provided their name and contact details needed to contact them should they be selected as the winner; will be automatically given one (1) entry into this prize draw.

The prize draw is monthly and 6 draws (1 per month) will be made throughout 2022. Participants will be automatically given one (1) entry into each prize draw based on being an eligible participant of the above research project.  No other action is required, and no purchase or payment is required from the eligible participant. Diary completion is not required to be entered into the prize draw.

Please note that failure to complete two or more diaries may result in Ipsos removing a participant from the diary panel and therefore may no longer be an eligible participant of the RAJAR Radio Diary Panel.  Participants will be informed in writing (either by email or post) in advance of potentially being removed from the RAJAR Radio Diary Panel. Those removed from the panel will no longer be entered into the prize draw.

Can I have more than one entry?

No. Only one (1) entry will be given to each eligible participant for each month they are invited to complete a diary.

What is the prize draw?

£5,000 (five thousand pounds) will be made payable by a BACS payment in the name of the entrant only.

What is the closing date for entries?

The closing date for entries for each month in 2022 are the following:

How will the winner be selected?

Winners will be selected by a random draw from all entries which will be witnessed by an observer independent of the research team conducting the draw.  The draw will be conducted no later than 14 working days after the closing date.

How and when will the prize be sent to the winner?

The BACS payment will be made to the winning participant’s bank account only.

The winning participant will be notified by email using the email address supplied by the participant, and/or by telephone using the telephone number supplied by the participant, as appropriate.

Reasonable efforts will be made to contact a winner within a period of 21 days and if no contact is successfully made in that time period, Ipsos reserve the right to disqualify that entrant (without further liability to that entrant) and offer the prize to the next eligible entrant and thereafter until a winner is found.

The prize will be sent no later than 21 days after the winning participant has been notified.

How can I find out who was selected as the winner?

We assure all research participants that their participation in the study will be confidential, which means we cannot publish details of the winner.  However we can provide the participant serial number, initials and approximate location of the winner on request. Will I still be entered if my invite is not received?

Sorry, no.  Invitation to take part in the monthly radio diary will be emailed or posted to the details given to us by you at recruitment.  Ipsos does not accept any responsibility for any inaccuracy in the contact details supplied by the panel member that may result in the inability of Ipsos to contact that participant.  Nor can we be responsible for unavailable network connections; failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmission; on line failures; hardware software or other technical malfunctions or disturbances; or any other communications failures or circumstances affecting, disrupting or corrupting the submission of diary invites that would otherwise result in an entry into this prize draw.

Which company is running this prize draw?

This prize draw winner will be drawn by Bi Worldwide (Company No: 01445905) whose registered office is situated at 1 Vantage Court, Tickford Street, Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, MK16 9EZ.

Ipsos UK Limited, trading as “Ipsos” (Company No: 01640855) whose registered office is situated at 3 Thomas More Square, London, E1W 1YW will be in contact with the winner and make the BACS payment.

What law applies?

These rules are governed by English law and the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
